I began my career in public education in 1993. Whether serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of curriculum, assistant superintendent, or executive director of human resources, one constant has guided my journey—an unwavering advocacy for public education.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand how the success of public education is built upon the dedication and contributions of countless individuals. From the teachers inspiring curiosity and growth in the classroom to the custodial staff ensuring safe and welcoming environments, every role matters. Each person in the educational ecosystem plays a pivotal part in shaping students' learning experiences and academic outcomes.

As I reflect on my experiences, I am reminded of the incredible power of collaboration and shared purpose. Effective education requires more than just excellent curriculum design or administrative oversight—it demands a community-wide commitment to fostering environments where both students and educators can thrive. Ensuring that educators feel supported and valued has always been central to my work, recognizing that their well-being directly impacts student success.
